Dr. Liang Min is the Grid Operations Leader in the Engineering Directorate at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). Prior to LLNL, Dr. Min worked at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) as a Senior Project Manager in the renewable integration, grid operations and planning program, led the grid operations research area, and managed a team of project managers and contractor charged with delivery of more than 20 projects a year. He was the sub-recipient and EPRI lead of the Entergy’s DOE smart grid project, using synchrophasors to assess voltage stability. He also managed a couple of NYSERDA smart grid research projects related to synchrophasors and sensor technologies applications to grid operations. Dr. Min has published numerous papers in journals and conference proceedings and has served as a panelist and invited speaker in various industry forums. He holds two U.S. patents in the area of measurement based voltage stability assessment. Dr. Min received his BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China and his Ph.D. degree from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas.
